Lockdown
At the moment we're on lockdown, meaning that we're not allowed our of the place we're staying at (Kiryiat Moriah) because there are high security warnings becasue of the elections. We're only allowed to the supermarket down the road and that's it. We've been on it since thursday and the elections are on tuesday but the lockdown might last for even longer, which is mega annoying.
So on the weekend about 12 of us English people had a bbq on the tayelet, which is a park/view point next to kiryiat moriah which is generally known to be quite dangerous as people have been stabbed and the like there. They didn't tell us that we weren't allowed there during lockdown, though i thought we probably weren't so we went and had our bbq. We bought loods of chicken wings and so some people brought back the little disposable bbqs we bought to the kiryat moriah while still cooking the chicken and took them into Jordan's room. This then set off the fire alarm and the security guards came who told the head of the programme and the people in the room have now been threatened with being sent home, though they obviously won't. And one girl told them that they were having the bbq before at the tayelet and the head people got even more annoyed because we apparently are especially not allowed there during lockdown, but luckily they don't know who were all the people at the bbq are, lucky me.
Some of us went to the masorti synagogue down the rosad on friday night and got invited to one of the family's for dinnner, again agains the rules for lockdown, but the food was really nice and they had an amzing lunch. We then went to the synagogue again on saturday morning and again got invited to someone else's for lunch, which was also nice. And then all of the Noam group got invited for tea to this guy who used to work for Noam in England ages ago, so all in all i got given a lot of food on the weekend, and then i went an ordered chinese last night, even though i've already gone over this month's budget.
