Machon

So Machon started on Sunday and straight away we went on a trip. We stayed in a city called Arad, which is kind of in the middle of Israel in the desert. On Monday morning we climbed Masada, James and Alex you should know what that is from Latin, we went to see the sunrise but we missed it cause some people didn't get up in time and so we left late, and after we went on a hike. Yesterday we were supposed to go on another hike in Machtesh Ramon which i think is the largest crater in the world maybe but it was cancelled because of the weather so we went to the Israeli airforce museum instead. And now we're in Jerusalem in the place we're going to be staying at for 4 months.

It's really weird here cause we're with smething like 60 Australians and South Africans (more of the are Australians) and it's really scary being with loads of new people and there's so many of them. And.. we got to choose who we were in a room with and I didn't particularly want to share with just english people but i was just really crap at organising it and now i'm in a room with 3 australians who are really nice but really australian, actually one of the is from new zealand, he's called tim but when he says it he says tum, but it is quite scary because australians are really different from english people. I felt a bit like an alien at first, but i'm sure it's going to get better. I keep on getting flashes of Nick when he first came to school and how he was really frank, like when you told Tom Hunns that no one liked him.
