Happy Hannuka and Merry Christmas if you will
Happy Hannuka for tonight, and merry christmas for today. I'm at Jonny's at the moment and i'm about to die of cold it's freezing here and pouring with rain and there's not central heating in the flat and the fire heater thing and the boiler both broke last night, but the landlord is here now trying to fix them.
Tomorrow i'm going to Eilat which is a beach resort right at the bottom of Israel on the red Sea, and hopefully it will be a bit hotter. Most of the group will be there and most people's families are going to be there too, but there are four of us who are alone and we're staying in a youth hostel together, the other people are going to be in nice hotels but i think we're planning on spending most of our time in other people's hotels. The annoying thing is that every christmas loads of Jews from North London come out to Eilat, and we don't want to see any of them, luckily i don't know that many but other people are going to know everyone there.
Tonight we're going to have Sheperd's Pie and doughnuts just to let you know, you have to eat doughnuts of Hannuka, it's tradition. I saw a really good film the other day kinda like Spellbound, i think it's called Strictly Hot Ballroom in English. It's about this program in New York where kids learn ballroom dancing at school and then there's a big competition, and the film followed a couple of the schools, it was really funny.
So the group has now left Karmiel and we had to spend the last two days cleaning the flat from top to bottom, it was so disgusting, i don't think a flat with fourteen people in can ever be clean for more than one minute. And i was hoping that during the cleaning i would find my memory card for my camera but it didn't turn up so I've lost all my photos. I can get the everyone else's ones but it won't be the same, and now i need to get a new memory card but luckily my mum said she'd buy it, because it was jumbo expensive and i'm living on a very tight budget at the moment.
That's all i can think of for the moment, have a nice chrismukkah!
