Fasting

Well today i've been fasting because it was yom kippur, but now it's finished so i can eat. Yesterday I went round to Charlotte and Carly's for dinner, where there were 9 of us i think having our last supper. They went all jewish motherish and made chicken soup and then roast chicken, which was very nice. then we all went to synagogue for the evening service where you have tos tand for most of it, which is very annoying. Tpodya i didn't get up till about 12.30 to minimise the hunger, and then i sat around for ages reading, and didn't go to synagogue till about half four, i stayed for a while and then ha da break but i went back and then stayed till the end which was at about half seven, and then they had food to break the fastso i stuffed yself. What was good isthat i met four more jews doing medicine, before that i only knew one, and this one girl's dad was my mum's yiddish professor, what a small world!
