Freshers

Well i'm now back at manchester after having gone back down to london for the weekend for rosh Hashanah. Freshers Week was really good and very crazy and there are millions of people everywhere. I've got really good flatmates but the weird thing is that none of the girls are first years but all the boys are, one girl is a 2nd year and the other 3 are 3rd years, but luckily they're still really nice and still up for a laugh. There's one boy who seems to stay in his room a lot which is a bit sad but he's still nice, and one of the guys is american and doing a semester here. There were loads of things organised for the first year medics, on tuesday there was the medics curry night, which was really good but i was severely hung over so i couldn't really eat much, and on thursday there was the medics pyjama pub crawl where there were about a thousand medics all on a pub crawl round the centre of manchester all dressed in pyjamas. We're split in PBL (problem based learning) groups which are kind of like tutorial groups which we do loads of stuff in and luckily mine is really good and apart from them i only know a couple of other people on the course because there are about 400 of us, and no one in my flat is a medic or Jewish, which is a bit strange as they usually put you together with similar people, we think they just had loads of people spare so they put us all in a house together.

Going home for the weekend was very nice, even though at first i thought i shouldn't really be missing the first weekend at uni, but it was worth it. And that's it for the moment, i've just set up my internet in my room , so hopefully later today it'll start working and i won't have to come to the computer room to use the internet, i feel so out of touch without it.
